Friends of the Wye River Walk
Willie Reid led fifteen Friends of the Wye on a walk along the river on 3 July 2021. Willie set a steady pace and he entertained us with some fascinating facts about the river and its no longer extant mill sites.
We took the opportunity to check for invasive Indian balsam, litter and blockages and having spotted none of any significance were very pleased by the overall good condition of the river.
We finished the walk in the grounds of West Wycombe Estate, a little weary maybe, after the 12 miles or so we covered, but having had a very enjoyable day.
Friends of the Wye is very grateful to Willie Reid for leading the walk. You can find information about Willie’s walks at https://www.walkingwycombewithwillie.co.uk/walks
