Town centre improvements include a pavement feature marking the former course of the river Wye

The latest WDC planning bulletin states that work starts this week on Paul’s Row improvements.

Pauls Row is one of the busiest pedestrian streets in the Town Centre, acting as a gateway to the town from Wycombe Hospital, Buckinghamshire New University, and the Swan, as well as being an important access point for less-able visitors.

The improvements are  part of the Masterplan for High Wycombe town centre, The work will take 8 to 10 weeks, and deliver a more attractive and welcoming gateway to the town centre which supports local business and that enhances the vibrancy of High Wycombe.

The project uses materials that are not only durable and represent good value for money, but will also improve both the appearance and accessibility of Pauls Row. The design includes a new pavement feature that marks the former course of the river Wye through this part of the town.
